Experts predict the electric boat market will see an 11 percent jump between 2018 and 2028. Although boats operated by electric power have been around for a long time, as consumers become more aware of the various options and benefits, many want to either purchase this type of watercraft or retrofit a gas- or diesel-powered vessel they already own.
As the demand for electric boats continues to skyrocket, manufacturers recognize the need to expand their offerings to give people more options. Whether you are interested in an electric boat for commercial or personal reasons, start by looking at the vessels currently available from Electric Boats (and Herley Boats, a highly respected and knowledgeable boat building company behind the electric boat industry).

Something awesome is happening with battery tech...
Graphenano, the company behind the development of graphene batteries, says the batteries can be charged to full in just a few minutes and can charge and discharge 33 times faster than lithium ion. Discharge is also crucial for things like cars that want vast amounts of power in order to pull away quickly.
There's no word on if Grabat batteries are currently being used in any products, but the company has batteries available for cars, drones, bikes and even the home. #graphene #latesttech #batterypower #gogreen ... See MoreSee Less

1930-32 Experiments with producing electrical energy directly from water, converting degraded into pure water and the prototype of the 'trout turbine' based on his observations of a trout's behaviour in a fast flowing stream.
1938 Constructs with his son Walter a replica of Lord Kelvin's Falling Water Experiment of capillary research, generating a voltage of 20,000 volts.
1940 The first Repulsine (flying saucer) built first in Berlin and then in Vienna, where the prototype broke from its mooring and smashed through the factory's ceiling. Heinkel steals Viktor's copyright and builds his Schriever 'Flying Top' in his Rostock factory.
How many batteries would I need to go from Bluff to Ruapuke for the day to go fishing? How much would these batteries cost, how long would they take to recharge, how much would they weigh (both fully charged and flat)?
Where can you charge up when fishing off shore ?
Can you carry a spare can of electricity when your out at see and you have to fight a strong headwind and if your electrics go bad how do you call for help also have you seen how fast these new battery’s burn when they short circuit.probably never happen on rough seas?
What a joke.
2020 the Schauberger repulsine boat achieves a range of 1000 miles on a gallon of water, making the giga factory irrelevant.
